There is so much fiber at the Common Ground Fair held in Unity each September and sponsored by the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association. Fleece Tent, Wednesday Spinners, vendors selling handspun yarn and yarn transformed from their flocks, knitted sweaters, handwoven baskets, knitted socks—there is so much to see. This year, the weather was overcast and cool but the crowds still appeared. The Fair is always held on the third weekend in September. Here are a few photos to whet your appetite till next year.
