This summer, a few members of Salt Bay Treadlers—a group that meets in Damariscotta to spin one Wednesday evening per month—took a retreat on a beautiful Maine island. The idea was to spin, knit, share good food, relax, and enjoy the fruits of summer—and we did just that. Being fiber types, we also managed to visit the studio of a fiber artist and a nearby sheep farm. A very enjoyable retreat was had by all.
