This past July, Maine Quilts presented its 45th Annual Show at the Augusta Civic Center in Maine. A beautiful variety of work greeted visitors who were delighted to once again meet in person. Over 500 quilts were on view, from antique to modern. Special exhibits included “HERstory Quilts: A Celebration of Strong Women,” by Susanne Miller Jones; “Can I Use Up My Stash?” by Dan and Carol Perkins; “With Needle and Thread,” by Sue Rivers; and “Maine Seas First Light,” a Challenge show. Work was shown by many Maine artists but also those from seven different countries. Next year’s show takes place at the Civic Center once again on July 27-29, 2023. Incredible work!
