In February, to kick the New Year off, fiber lovers from all over New England converged at Spa, the New England Textile Association’s spinning, knitting and fiber retreat held each year in Freeport. All major hotels and several B&B’s were booked solid. Events were held at The Hilton and at the Harraseeket Hotel and a great time was had by all. Gatherings, demos, knitting by firesides, in town shopping, a fashion show, and special Spa vendors made this a warm welcome Winter event. Organizers are already getting ready for 2015. You can start dreaming about what you will knit while on retreat.
